The Airport Worth Whispering About
THE ASK
Travelers near Palm Springs kept defaulting to LAX and Ontario out of habit. Palm Springs International Airport needed them to see PSP as the easy, local first choice.
THE IDEA
Sell the glamour of travel, not the stress. PSP is the insider's airport: a quiet alternative to LAX that feels like a secret, even though it isn't.
THE WORK
The campaign shows the life PSP unlocks, painted as late-1960s Jet Age travel posters. The voice is a stylish insider who found the easier route and is trying not to make a scene about it. The concept won the RFP.
I set the voice and wrote its defining lines. AI drafted the remaining copy, which I reviewed and approved. I also built the mood board and art-directed every AI-generated launch asset myself. No shoot, no crew. Three weeks from idea to launch.
THE SYSTEM
To help the team build on the launch, I created two guides: one for the voice and copy, another for the imagery.
Every image starts with the same locked prompt and two anchor images. Before it ships, it’s checked against five qualities of the illustrator’s hand: edges, faces, finish, texture and values. The team now uses that spec to create new work across different AI platforms while keeping the same look.
